My teacher Mrs McLeay asked our year 11 class to talk about a certain type of language. People use different types of languages for different purposes or audiences. An example of a certaint type of language used is msn. Msn is a instant messenger service for people to chat to friends. It also connects us to meet others around the world.
There are a number of types of words that people use while chatting on msn, sonme of these are LMAO, LOL, DW, BTW, CBF, U, R. I think that people use this language so that older people don’t actually know what they are talking about, therefore may not get into trouble. Also this language may be used because people can’t be bothered typing the full words so they just abbrieviate the words. There is a number of websites that help translate these words used in msn, such as Lingo2word.
